Aries New Moon 2026
On April 17, 2026 our Aries New Moon will exact at 5:51 AM MST, with energies perfecting at 27 degrees Aries.
As we embark on a new Lunar cycle for the sign of Aries and the Spring Equinox, these meditation guides are here to prompt and support you into the Full Moon in approximately two weeks and the New Moon cycle for the sign of Aries in a year from now, inviting you to weave these intentions into a larger practice of your personal growth.
Meditation: What is one thing I can do everyday until the Full Moon to evoke the feeling of Energetic in me?
Additional Meditation: What is the one thing I can do everyday until the Full Moon to help me feel and heal the feeling of Lack of Energetic within me?
One of the keywords for the Aries archetype is Energetic. The goal here is to plant fresh New Moon seeds of this feeling, while considering and healing old wounds that may block us from fully feeling a sense of Energetic within ourselves and in the world around us.
An Aries Sunrise, full of colour and energy. Aries Sunrises come up quick, the Sun seems to pop up over the horizon, one moment it looks full of colour, the next the Sun is just over the horizon- signalling the day is here.

If we consider the larger scope of the cycles of the Moon phases around the Sun, we will find great support and can gather evidence of our healing path through reflecting on our journals and notes along the way.
The Aries Full Moon on October 6, 2025, is the mid point of the cycle, linked here.
The Aries New Moon, which was also a Partial Solar Eclipse, on March 29, 2025, was the initiation of the pervious cycle.
Grandmother Moon, please share with me an aspect of my soul that is ready to be healed during this New Moon Phase.
Mars has come home to his sign of Aries. At the time of writing this on April 12, 2026- Mars is conjunct Neptune and soon to meet with Saturn. From a whole sign perspective this has everything to do with the New Moon coming on April 17, 2026. The story evolving over the course of this week while we are in the Moon’s balsamic phase lends to how we can better welcome this New Moon of Spring time in the Northern Hemisphere. This is also the FIRST New Moon in Aries since Saturn and Neptune have made their ingress- if this message resonates in any way I suggest saving it somewhere with a reminder to reflect in about 2.5years and again later as Neptune continues here for roughly 12 years. This memo to remind ourselves feels that important in terms of level of healing possible and happening.
So here Mars is upon coming home from his trip around the zodiac. Granted, he has another home in Scorpio, but he has had a roommate there since modern rulerships partnered him up with Pluto. In Aries, he’s fully at home. Sure, right now he has house guests that are positioned to be here a while (Saturn and Neptune), some are more transient, such as Moon, Sun, Mercury and Venus. In this way- everyone has to accept how he lives in his home, there are no shared rules here.
Let’s consider from Mars perspective where he has most recently just come from- Pisces. He’s been hanging out with the collective, at one with all energy. That can be a really great change of pace for the God of War, and I use that phrase specifically. My husband likes to watch this podcast from a creator- Sean Evans. In the piece he watched today they discussed something very critical about Mars and the sign of Aries (indirectly as they were not actually talking about astrology, it’s a military podcast). They spoke about how it was not the PTSD of coming home that bothered them and their lives, rather it was the LACK of traumatic events that filled their day to day. For most of us, we are not in Navy SEALS level of intense events for our entire careers- it’s challenging to grasp the scope of what they mean. These people have literally lived careers in war, then they come home and some have no clue, no framework, no map of how to live in the lack of that intensity.
We are here with Mars hanging out with Neptune right now- and this is not about illusions or lacking a grasp of reality or what even reality even is- it’s far more subtle than that: its the total shift in reality, moving from one reality to the next. That complete opposing movement of being in War for so long, and now being at Peace. That is a complete change in baseline of how you live and the reality you experience.
Let’s make this more real world for the rest of us. The energy is the same when considering this from the perspective of lack of trauma, and the context being different. Reflect on your life, what events or patterns have you left in the last few years? Do you feel that odd yearning or missing to go back even though you knew it was ______(crap, awful, not wha you wanted anymore for yourself)? (There is so many ways I could go with this: leaving careers you once enjoyed, leaving awful relationships that were harmful to you, you moved homes, distanced yourself from certain friends, changed your diet, your lifestyle). The thing to notice is you made a change that you know deep down is for the better for you. While making these changes does not always leave us with PTSD, it can often leave us yearning for what we once had- that is the feeling of lack I am speaking to. I am not going to over use these experiences and frame them in a traumatic way- though some of them can be traumatic. For example: You had to change your diet and lifestyle- that could be a traumatic experience, you had to let go of a way of living so you could keep living, let go of habits you had for so long maybe even your whole life. There is something that always motivates us to change. When we make diet and lifestyle changes so we can live healthy full lives it’s possible that in some ways we will miss the chaos of life before. That is the feeling of lack of trauma I am trying to convey, for some it maybe better framed as lack of chaos, or maybe even more simply a longing for what once was familiar. You miss that in some way.
We often at some point then have to reflect on how we self sabotage our lives back into that remembered energy- whether it be trauma, chaos or the remembering of life before. In this way we hold ourselves back. We prevent our lives from moving on, from our souls and our human life experiences from receiving the fullness that life has to ofter in our present moment.
Saturn is next for Mars to connect with. And this is the moment we either double down on those antiquated life practices, leaving us to manifest more pain and suffering back into our lives and in our bodies; OR we release those out dated patterns, setting ourselves free to restructure our lives in a more meaningful and expressive way, ultimately allowing more love and light into our lives, deepening our relationships with everyone around us- and most of all ourselves. In this way, Grandmother Moon and Father Saturn have a lot in common- they both want what is best for us so we can nurture ourselves and each other more lovingly.
When I heard that quote this afternoon, this concept of Lack of Trauma- it was a shockwave of clarity and peace that came over me. I took that next exhale- and felt that giant YES, to where my shadow work wanted me to see. I’m not saying my life was filled with trauma, what I felt was the clarity that I am not used to what is happening in my life right now- my body isn’t used to feeling, moving and living this way. I am not used to the new pace of day to day. Life before looked very different- it was fast, very full, beautiful in a very different way. Yes there was a lot of clearing up of unhealthy life patterns along the way that brought me here to this. And, I honour that my baseline is still processing the deep changes I have done. In natural Saturn fashion- this type of personal work/task is not glamorous, no one is going to give us a gold star for our efforts, heck- they likely wont even know what you are up to until after the fact. We need to remind ourselves in this way that Spring has only started to enter, elements of Winter is still very much around. So even though my garlic is sprouting green leaves, they are still very close to the ground. Some of us are also experiencing the wonder and beauty of Crocus blooms- they are magical Early Spring flowers, reminding us that much of what we do right now is still in the nest of our hibernation. In Saturn fashion that is where our true character, faith and integrity are built- the actions we do when no one is watching, applauding, cheering us on. Sometimes not even our closest family and friends see the efforts we pour into ourselves to work and rework our lives, as we drift further and further away from what once was and closer towards the expressive pulse and pull of our soul. In this way, it can be easier to see those who come home from war and witness their struggle with this feeling of lack, though I make no claim that the inner war I am moving away from is similar to the one they experienced, I am boldly sharing that what was said hit a nerve of “I get you”- and that was enough for me to courageously write a moon post, after a very long hiatus, roughly about as long as Saturn’s transit through Pisces. It feels good to write again, and to come at it from much healing and surrendering.
This takes us to the heart of the Aries New Moon. With Chiron conjunct this moon phase- healing this aspect of ourselves, or whatever aspect comes forward for you is the call at this time. This moon phase is also in a wide applying square to Pluto in Aquarius (that’s a building energy, a gathering energy)- which means the Deep excavation from the depths of our subconscious is happening. Pluto is taking this moment to pull out as much as it can before its stations retrograde for the next 6ish months in early May. Getting us ready for that Plutonian hibernation. This is all super helpful information as we go forward with our goals and dreams at this time. When we come up to these parts of us that seem to block us, or maybe make us think in our minds that our goals are not the ones we should be chasing- pause. What’s coming up is only happening as it needs to be emotionally felt, grieved and then cleared. So you can stop living from this place of feeling this lack I spoke of earlier, this lack of energy and way of living that once was. Stop feeling the vibration of the different reality and choices you used to make. The realities we are feeling and walking today haven’t been fully formed, or formed much at all. With so much unknown in our present, never mind our futures, it’s easy to self sabotage back to places we better understand and know. That is not what is best for our goals and wishes. Our hopes and dreams. Living our highest and best life possible. Healing and resolving, or even becoming aware that this lack of trauma, chaos, way life once was- is a game changer. It creates space to move in the rhythm of the present. Allowing you to consciously create in a more loving way forward, the one you had always intended to live from.
With that, be gentle on your sweet self. You have done so much to get to this place, even if it is not the place you fully imagined you would be.
